I have 2000 4wd 2dr Blazer. Bought this Blazer 4 months ago and havent
figured out where this hose goes to. Its on the drivers side, upper motor
area. See picture attached.

it plugs into the back of the black ball right above it attached to the hood. i think its called an accumulator (cant see it in the pic) right now your 4WD wont work with it unplugged.

Hmmm. Truck is running. I'll have to go look for black ball. What is accumulator?

Pretty sure it's a vacuum hose, look for an open plastic tube/"T" connection that it would plug in to.
To make sure it's a vacuum hose plug it or spray a little brake cleaner in it while the engine is running. If the engine changes how it runs IE smoothes out or revs higher with the brake cleaner, it's a vacuum hose. Your mileage will improve a lot too.
But you have to find out where it's supposed to be, possibly like "97" said, I'm not sure.

Cool lifesize pic Chris. Really appreciate explicit answer. lol I printed pic
and tomorrow I'll hook it up. Might have to get longer hose if current one
has been shortened.

Yea,didnt mean for it to be that big. lol

That hose shouldnt be more then 89 cents a foot. just bring that piece with you.

And that vacuum ball,if its the round toilet ball looking one,its important. it gives you vacuum boost for the heat/air etc too. i had a lumina i wrecked and it crushed the ball.i plugged it. well the air would only blow hard when i was moving. at redlights it would barely blow....to find out it was because of that vacuum ball.

From the pics it looks like his is the vaccum hose that goes to the canister in the fender. Ugh, lots on that fender to remove to get in there. Maybe it can be done or reached around to from the fender well?!

Well if that black ball attached to the underside of the hood right above that area doesnt have a hose attached to the back of it then thats your problem. im almost 100% sure thats what it goes to because mine has come off before and it took me forever to figure out where it went, and it was in the same exact location and same exact length of hose as whats in your pic

Edit: unless that round ball im talking about got relocated to inside the fender in later years past '97 then i suppose it could go there. but just pop the hood and you will see.

the 2000 has it in the fender, it is a Bitch to get on but can be done without removal of anything. it should be just behind the abs module kinda hidden.
