Where is the map snesor?

Default Where is the map snesor?

Would someone tell me in detail where the map sensor is and what is needed to change it? Appreciate the help Blazerforum.com!

I am not sure where it is, or how to change it, but if your compass is just displaying C then look in the owners manual on how to recalibrate it. I believe you muct be on flat ground in a parking lot and drive around in 3 circles. The owners manual should tell you those directions. Also there is nothing in the haynes auto repair manual mentioning the compass and where its at. sorry, maybe someone else will know.

You simply unplug the sensor wiring and pull up on the sensor. The only thing holding it in place is the fit of the seal into the upper plenum. Use a bit of oil on the seal to ease installation.

*EDIT* The MAP sensor has nothing to do with the compass... It is the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor for the engine. It is used in conjunction with the TPS, MAF, HO2S, and the Knock sensors to ensure that the engine is running appropriately for the given situation.
