Is there a sure way to tell? I feel like they could just say its the freeze plugs even though its a intake manifold gasket just to get $200, The guy sounded pretty confident and he showed me where one was at and how it had stains from coolant, Also im from a place where everything rusts

 

The only way I could think would be to clean the area around the freeze plugs and put some dye in your coolant. Drive it for a few minutes and then check it with a UV light.

 

So i took it today, The guy said its not the freeze plugs and it is the water pump....

 

Of all the things that it could be, the water pump is one of the cheapest and easiest things to replace.
