Where's fuel pressure regulator?

98 4x4 2dr Changed the pump and filter and now have trouble getting the psi for the initial crank so I'm guessingthe pressure regulator iswhat it is. If anyone knows where its located at and/or have tips on replacing it cus I,m guessing its a pain it would be much appreciated?

It's underneath the intake plenum. Inside the engine. I believe it's essentially doing an intake gasket replacement to get to the FPR. Also if you disturb the internal fuel lines (known as the 'nut kit), then you have to replace those as well (which you will to change the FPR).

Do yourself a favor and replace all of it the first time, there is a thread about the procedure with pictures and step by step how to, search "fuel pressure regulator", I'm sure you will find it. I would clean the egr while you have the cover off and it's easy to get to.
