whirring sound from dash

whirring sound from dash
New here and have looked for this problem and can't find. I have a whirring sound coming from the dash, when I press the accelerator it goes away and returns when I keep steady pressure on the gas pedal. Makes no difference if heat or AC are on. Any suggestions please?
