Default Will a 99 fuel pump work in a 96?

I need to replace the fuel pump in my 96 4 door, I have a new pump for a 99 4 door, but the part numbers are different. Is there any way it'll work?

Did you look on Rockauto? They list applications when you click on the part #
Short answer - no
The long answer is you can switch the pump and connections off one to the other, but do you REALLY want to do that? Lot of work considering thwe bucket and chance of screwing up the gauge sender

The ACD part you're looking ofr on Ebay is
ACDELCO Part # MU1735 {#19179615, 25163489, MU13}
MODULE,F/TNK F/PMP(SENDER & PUMP) 4 DOOR; CODE SFR;

Delphi:
DELPHI Part # FG0030 MODULAR FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY
Actual OE Part

Since I dont have a life... I found this for you:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ORIGINAL...item5d322c7675

Dont be an idiot.. that's a good deal Never mind it says only compatible with bravada,, that's stupid.

If i were you id replace it with a new oem unit but thats just my opinion and its up to you

just remember an used pump can fail a week later

G'ianni... didnt see one damn ACD or DElphi module on ebay for less than 200. Reaosn MU1735 is apparently 96 only
Why the 53 buck ACD pump kit is bargain

I have a brand new one that was bough and we didn't need it. That's the reason I was curious. The actual pump itself is fine, it broke the feed and return lines off of it somehow

Now geezz.. peepul!!! When you ask advice and YOU REALLY WANT help then supply ALL the freakin details.

WHICH PUMP broke the nipples? The 96? Are the nipples the same?

How about taking pix of the two, several angles side by side. SEVERAL ANGLES

It may POSSIBLE to assemble one good one from the two.. DEPENDING! No one knows all the difference and similariites without some reference.

We aint done yet. It's not over till the problem's solved. WE ARE going to solve the problem in the best cheapest way.

It's just when you have a run of partial info like the O2 mixup yesterday, The guy wanting help with his RKE problem that is three years old and started with a shop fixing passlock... and now this..

This hobby is instructional and informative.. not to mention great brain cell exercise.. but sometimes you feel like the old PC Customer Service joke where the user was using the cd tray for a cupholder.

Now, rant over, back on topic.. pictures please
