Will the AC compressor on the 3 last pictures fit my 1999 Blazer ZR2?
I need to replace the AC compressor on my 1999 Blazer ZR2 and i came over a AC compressor that looks identical to the AC compressor in my car except for the electric connectors
The AC compressor on my car have the electric connectors on the compressor itself but on the AC compressor for sale have the connectors sitting on a short wire harness and that is the only difference that i can tell.
I think the AC compressor i can buy cheap is from an 1999 Suburban if i remember correct. I can not say tht for sure..
Any here on the forum that knows if this AC compressor fit my 1999 Blazer ZR2?
The first 2 pictures shows the AC kompressor that sits in my car The location of the electric connector on the AC compressor in my car One more picture showing the location of the electric connector on the AC compressor in my car

Reason: Mispelled..
I certainly do know what a compressor costs. In your case, a reman compressor is $150 (rockauto) or $200 my cost from NAPA both with a warranty. New AC Delco is $262 from rockauto. You can roll your dice and hope for a good compressor, but a/c systems are costly when things muck up in them. Using questionable components never enters my mind when I am working on my stuff. I've seen the mess that has been created from a failed compressor and cleaned it up.

I second everything here but I would go for a new AC Delco. But that's just me, I'm funny that way.
Great that it will fit since i think i ca get this for $50 and have it shipped to me in a couple of days
Since you do not think it is worth the effort do you know how much is a new/restored AC compressor cost?
I did a whole ac replace, exceprt for the evaporator, with parts I got from Rock Auto. That is where I would look.
I likely have a write up of it in my build thread.
it.
FYI My concern was not wanting to ever have to service the ac system again. I didn't have confidence in being able to clean out the gunk from the worn out pump vanes. This is why I atarted with fresh parts.
The hardest part was replacing the condenser due to needing to pull the radiator first.
The problem with the AC compressor in my car is that it does not work
So to check it i popped out the realy and put a wire direct where the relay sits in the fuse box so i forced the compressor to work
From the sound that the bearing made they for sure are worn out..
The price for a compressor here where i live is about $300 at the minimum and the used old one cost $47
I agree in buying a new compressor from Rock Auto that have a nice price is the way to go but then i get the shipping and 25 percent tax on not only the cost of the compressor but the shipping as well and i live in northern Europe
The shipping is the reason why i am considering buying the used compressor
Kind of crazy that i have to pay tax for the shipping..
