Looking through posts, it seems that my ignition switch has gone - security light permanently lit, and won't start on petrol....fores and immediately dies. The driver window won't close either - has been like this for days...is this possibly related to the ignition switch? and am I right about the switch being the problem with the security light?
If it is the ignition switch, would you reccomend a novice attempt it? I'm not thick, and have pulled the instructions off the site....would try to give at a clean up first, because I've been quoted £160+vat for the parts alone, and two weeks for delivery.....
Thanks.
Chelle.

Woooooo.....it lives :-)
Did'nt do a thing, but the window closed this morning - good job, it's bleedin cold today. The security light started flashing, then flashed erratically, then finaly went out. All working again now - and I did'nt have to get my hands dirty.....yet.
I had tried the passlock relearn, but did'nt work, and I know it's going to go again, but for now the window's shut :-) So, yes, the ignition switch can cause the window not to close....
