This is probably a stupid question but is the wiper slipping ? I recently took mine off because constant sliding snow knocked it out of alignment. I ended up cleaning mine real well with alcohol and remounting it. I turned the nut just shy of stripping and let it sit for a few weeks w/o using it. Seems to have done the trick for me. Aside from that I'm pretty sure its a big job to replace that arm.

Damn! That's bad...

If you can get at it well enough, you may want to try getting it properly positioned and tightened down, then drilling a hole through both the wiper arm and the drive shaft. Once you have a hole, insert a roll pin through the hole and viola, no more slipping.

Just to warn you though, this will weaken the wiper arm and someday it will just crack and fall off. So you'll want to be scouring the junkyards looking for a replacement wiper arm and drive stub for that side for that inevitable day.

And remember to clean your windshield off with a brush/scraper and free up the wipers BEFORE turning on your wipers!!

Just kidding Kyle. I threw that in just to spice things up a tad.

I'm gonna try and cut some new groves in it with my Dremel and see what happens.

I park in a heated garage at night. The only time I have to clean my truck off is if it snows while I am at work.

The problem with putting new grooves in it is that you will be removing more material. That is not really the thing you want to do.

Take a itty bitty flat head screwdriver, and use it to clean the aluminum out of the grooves. Reinstalled, worked like charm.
