Default Wipers driving me Lasso!

I have a 05 4wd 4-door, when I turn on the windshield cleaner, everything works, Except wipers Never shut off! I'm forced to turn the ignition off then on again to get them to stop! If I just use the wipers alone it works fine. Any thoughts?

The wiper pulse board is known to have cold or loose solder joints. Some members have successfully re-soldered the joints, others need replacement. The board is attached to the wiper motor:

Access to the circuit board is pretty easy, and if you are comfortable using a soldering gun, you could have it fixed in well under an hour. I think that a replacement board was around $40 thru a couple local parts stores, but I was lucky enough to only need to hit mine with the soldering gun, and mine were fixed. Had very similar symptoms as you described above.

I have a soldering gun, I will try to fix it myself. Worst case I can't and I need to spend $40 for a new board. Or go to the local junkyard and get one for 10-15 bucks. When you opened the box, were you able to see what needed to be soldered?

I think there was a how-to post somewhere on the site that I had in-hand when I tackled this job. There was a diagram that pointed to the connections.

I tried searching under wipers/ diagrams/windshield wiper, nothing comes up about this problem.

Thumbs up

THANK YOU! To ALL. I took the board out and didn't see any cracks or undone soldering. But I re-soldered most of them. I then added a little fresh grease to. All works well. I also replaced my low pressure switch on the accumulator for the A/C. The past two weeks it's been working then stops. I hit the switch then it works again for awhile then stops. So today I just replaced the switch. $24.44 from AC DELCO on ebay shipped! I also added a little freon and checked the charge. ALL is well for now, until the next thing to fix. LOL.
