Wiring/Heater Core
I recently replace the heater core in a 96 blazer. The engine turns over fine but will not crank. It sound like it isn't getting any gas. I'm thinking that something didn't get plug up. I have identified what I believe to be the OBDII connector, but there is one other connector hanging loose. Are there connectors on the wiring harness that might not be used?
Does the 96 have an anti theft system that would prevent starting?
On the second attempt through removing the dash the key will not come out of the ignition.
Any help appreciated.

Good Day! There are no connections on that side of the vehicle(RH) that are left unused!
You have missed reconnecting one. As for the anti-theft system on a 96,I doubt there is one as my 96 & 97 don't have such a feauture, but it may have been an option...
Did you lower the steering column when you did the job both times? I had to when I did the core job (twice in 2 months!) and the second time the same happened to me,but the ignition switch was so worn the key just slid out but I was never able to lock the column again-it was a non-issue to me as I knew the unit was at the end of its useful life as the car had 255K and severe rust issues.
Utilize the search feature on the site and I am sure you will find your answer! Good Luck!

Step66,
Thanks for the response. Actually we did drop the steering column both times and we have had trouble form the ignition switch back a couple of years ago. You could turn the key but nothing happened, battery was hot, it just wouldn't make a sound. I was convinced that it was the starter, wrong it was the ignition switch wiggling the key and messing with it several times would crank it. However this time it will turn over just fine. Everything is pluged in on the rh side, the drivers side has one unidentified plug hanging.
