Wiring inline fuel pump. 01 blazer
Hey there, first off, looking for some input on wiring a temporary inline fuel pump. Where's a convenient spot to get my power from, without needing a toggle switch?
now some reasoning and info as to why I want the inline pump. I bought this blazer for 300, was told it needs a fuel pump. Tested, and it did need replaced, so bought a new one, and after installation I noticed the security light flashing, no fuel. Did the passlock bypass, spliced yellow Into the orange/black wire, key on, key off process and got nothing. The security light went solid and stays on for HOURS with the key on or off. So i ran a new power source to the fuel pump from the fuse box and pump still doesn't prime, assuming I have a ground or wire harness issue. So I'm going to run an inline aftermarket pump while I gather parts & $ to get a new wire harness, passlock components, fuel lines, ect...
just need this thing running to get to work, kids to school,ect.. for the meantime, and I'm curious if there's a safer, cheaper more convenient spot to get my power than the fuse box or directly from the battery with toggle switch?
thanks

I was just going to hollow out the old housing, rig something to work temporarily, pulling through a hose/tube only
I have power at the relay and not at the pump. Why I'm thinking I need new wire harness
now I'm reading that the passlock effects the injectors, not the pump... So I'm wondering if I could run a temp power wire to injectors also? Or would a steady 12v not operate them correctly? Do they run off a "pulse" or something?
just need this thing running tempoarily to finish a house and get money to fix it properly.
It's an a.c. Delco pump
I don't have much experience and knowledge of newer vehicles, I like my old carbed vehicles. Lol
