it happened to me about a week ago and i got it back going again. Now it wont start again. It turns over just fine. It starts a little bit then dies again. Its cold out so i have heet in the gas tank and 3/4 of fuel. I hear the fuel pump working but i am not sure if it is actually pumping fuel. I just put it in the garage and turned on the heater. Any suggestions on why it wont start. thanks.

Hello,
First of all, please tell us what year, model etc.... Blazer you have. Use the search feature of this forum and you'll find information on how to diagnose your fuel pump. While you may hear it run, but it takes over 55 psi to start/run. You'll probably need a fuel pressure test gauge to diagnose if it's producing enough pressure. That would probably be the first diagnoses to perform.

its a 1996 blazer s10 with the 4.3. I got a cold air intake, ported throttle body and flowmaster exhaust. Just put plugs and wires on it this past summer. Ok im pretty sure my uncle has one. How hard is it to change a fuel pump.

I have the same issue. I think it is in the fuel pump relay sensor (?) On my blazer, it is located in the Glove box. Driving a 99.

You can test the fuel pressure (details can be found in the Tech Article (DIY) section) to see if you have the proper pressure and make sure that you do not have a leak. If you do not have fuel pressure, test to make sure that the pump is getting energized.

My guess would be leaning towards an ignition switch problem.

I put some gas into the throttle body and it started right up and ran just fine. I just drove around awhile and got it up to operating temp. I just parked it and going to wait a half hour to see if it willl start again.
