Default won't start now

Hey guys. New problem cropped up with my 2002 blazer. I was driving along and it cuts off like it ran out of gas. Called roadside and all that. Driver turns out to be an old friend, big surprise, but we looked it over, verified fuel was getting to intake or whatever, spark was good, tested at wire by coil. Cant figure out why it won't start now. He asked about security system because I recently had aftermarket keyless entry installed. Gonna call them next! Only did it because dealer's fob would not work with it. Unless the security shut off fuel lines I don't know what else to think. Any thoughts?

That's exactly what Passlock does - it cuts the fuel supply. I'd be willing to bet your aftermarket keyless entry is the cause - it usually is.

OK. Update on my problem. After getting it home, we tested the fuel pressure by taking that cap off at rear of motor, pressed that valve in and tried cranking. Nothing came out this time. Thinking that before, when we poured a bit of gas in the throttle body, it was spitting that out before. Also, after putting hand on pump, we felt no vibration or heard the sound it makes when pressurizing. So, looks like about 400 bucks for new AC Delco pump coming up next. Also gonna check the filter to make sure before that.

A intermittently failing ignition switch often duplicates the problems associated with a bad fuel pump. A little FYI.

Not to mention the Security system, if the light is flashing, won't allow the pump to run.

Hey, I figured out that the fuel pump was faulty. Me and my brother dropped the tank and replaced the pump. But as we were putting it back up, we noticed the connector broke off. After a trip back to where we got it (Parks Auto Parts) they told us we broke it so no return or new part. Is there any way to repair this thing? I don't wanna shell out more money on this truck because of this simple problem. Was thinking about using JB weld if we have to but I won't know more til tomorrow. We are going to different location to see if they will swap with us. The guy was being really **** about us breaking and warranty doesn't cover cheap plastic I guess. Well, that's my update so far. Oh, after we got pump installed we started truck and it ran fine, we just had to put the tank back up.

Whew, another store gave us a new pump (thank goodness) and we got it installed and it seems to run fine, maybe even better. Testing my mileage now, so far seems to be doing better on gas too. Before, I only got a little over 200 miles to a tank full. At about 125 now and it is just a bit less than 3/4 tank. I'm feeling better about the blazer now. But, as we were test driving, some semi came by and slung something and hit my windshield. Golf ball sized round crack now. Insurance will pay for that repair thing they do, but my deductible is $500 so if new windshield is needed I have to eat it. Oh well, such is life. Thanks for all the input everyone.
