hard cold starts, now won't start at all, vortex
I have had an anoying issue for about 6+ months. Get in the Blazer in the morning, turn the key, turns over 6-7 times, would not fire. Turn the key off, and then it starts as normal, a couple cranks, and it fires. Had a full tune in Nov 2006, the mechanic checked fuel pressure, 1-2 lbs low, new fuel regulator bought it in spec to around 55lbs. Problem still there. Took it to a dealer last week, said it had a week spark, replaced the coil/distrib wire. Problem still there. Last night it stopped firering all together. Just turns over, as if no spark. Today I put in a new coil, and control module. Still won't fire. I bought a distributor ignition pickup (hall effect sensor), but can't find where it goes. 1997, manual trans, 160,000 miles. Any clues would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Alan

I would first clean all your connections. Disconnect the battery cables and clean them up good. Then clean the connections on the starter, then clean the connection at the block.
Poor connectionc casues all sorts of problems.
