Default Worlds most uncomfortable seats

wondering what i can do about my seats in my 2000 blazer 4dr. they've been changed out 3 times. my dad had this before me and always complained about it hurting his back. well now i notice it more and more. get done with work hop in the blazer and go. its bad. i know he broke the levers off of 2 of them. pretty common thing. and now the ones in it are alright (levers are not broke yet....) as it still functions. wondering if i could put a chevy 1500 seats in or something else that would be compatible or much better. i dont mine drilling into the seat brackets to make the bolts work but i dont want to go modifying the holes for my blazer. any help, suggestions, anyone else swapped them out for something else.

Take a look under your seats. If you have the electrical connection there for power seats, bolt in the full power seats and adjust them to your liking.

there is a connector there. as far as i know when it came stock it had non power seats. did gm ever have them with the electrical connection and come stock with non power seats or do you think someone probably switched them out before i got it.
*also its more of the firmness of the seat the lumbar. powerseats might give me the right adjustment. did they make them power in cloth or only leather?

I'm not sure about the full power seats in cloth. It's likely. The leather seats from my old Bravada had lumbar adjustment and heat as well!

And it is quite common for there to be a connector for power seats regardless of whether the truck came with them or not. It was just cheaper in the long run to cut down on the number of variations in the harness.

That is gong to be up to you to determine which is more comfortable. I can say that I doubt that they would work given the relative interior dimension differences between the two vehicle platforms. You will likely have to modify the mounts/frames to get them to sit right in the blazer's irregular floor.

Possibly you could go to the boneyard and find a power seat? Mine has 8-way electric just on the drivers side. Looking at the schematic power is supplied by 1 wire with a 25A circuit breaker & ground so you could add it on. (if you have powered lumbars it's the same supply wire) Just don't get a memory seat, that connects to the BCM and will never work. Same materials, same cushioning as yours (I assume) but the extra adjustments might allow you to find comfort? Edit: I type too slow... They make 'em in cloth. I have the only LT I ever saw with cloth.

Hmm thats not a bad idea. Might just have to add that to the long list of things to do. Sorry i dont have any other help for you but even if the wiring isnt there for a power seat i wouldnt think it would be to hard to wire in.
