Default 15" sub question

Does anyone have a 15" sub in their blazer? And if so how's it sound? Because I have a kicker L7 15" with a 1500w amp that I'm gonna hookup once I get a box. I just wanted to know what you thought of the sound of you 15" in your blazer

So what size box should I go with? And should I get a ported box? Or is a sealed box good?

Sealed boxes supposedly hit harder, while Ported give you smoother bass.

ive heard the exact opposite....could i really be believing the wrong thing all this time?

edit: i just did a search on it and i came up with the opposite, sealed will give you sound quality while ported will hit harder...

I had 2 15's in the blazer. Right now I got one and it sounds pretty good. Not loud enough for me but loud enough to rattle car wash bay roofs, lol.

Sealed will give you a sharper hit, you'll feel it hit you. Better for rock country and some rap. Ported will have less of a sharp hit, but the bass is more intense. Less of a hit to the body like sealed but take your breath away lows. If you listen to a mix of music like rock country pop, 9-10 you'll like sealed. Some people will still like ported with a variety of music but not very often.

Now if your a tried and true bass head and listen to things like Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy and Bass Mekanik, then portes is the way to go.

so far i have yet to see anyone answer the original question. Being loud and sounding good are two totally different things.
