Default 2001 2dr blazer zr1 speakers upgrades

Alright, so im thinking about buying a set of alpine type-s speakers to replace my factory six speakers.http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/compareProduct.php?c=Alpine&model[]=SPS-600C&model[]=SPS-609&model[]=SPS-406&source=/US-en/products/series-c.php&category=SPKR
theres the link if that works, could i do it with the stock delco stereo or would i need to buy a new one and would i need an amp?

Depends if you have the bose system or not. if you have bose then i think you will need to replace the head unit, amp and wiring.

you can use the stock radio and amp for what your doing. But I would suggest running an aftermarket amp just bc it will put more power to the speakers and make them sound better. You will need to buy a LOC (line out converter) if your going to run an aftermarket amp with a factory radio.

any suggestions on brand of amp or configurations because most amps dont come with six channels? what would be a solution? 2 amps or patching a couple speakers together?
