I hear ya on the over priced thing. The most expensive car audio thing I've ever bought was a $320 amp, ha ha.

31 hz huh.... That's gonna be nice with the equipment your runnin, you've got your first official hater on the forum Mack . Kidding, glad to see your plan finally laying out.

so after a huge argument with girlfriend which led to me going to traverse city the whole week before classes started. monday-thursday classes, volunteering as a football coach, and blah blah blah..... i got my sub installed today... holy ***** is it loud as hell. i'll take some pictures of it tomorrow in the day light. then i have to tidy up the wires, carpet it and make a pull cover so i can hide it all away when in a not so nice area

So I gotta ask, kinda a thing with me... What was the first song you played on the new set-up?

first song was actually Ants Marching by Dave Matthews, i had the cd in and just let it play. with the remote control turned all the way down it gave a nice low end fill to the song but cranked... it gave a little bump..

switched to my ipod and first song on the newest playlist was Flo Rida "in the club"... with my box being tuned to 30.2hz, that song made it bump so hard...

and sorry about no pictures but my camera is MIA and so i will show pictures tomorrow when i have day light with my phone.

Now i have a question. i only had it happen with an old crappy setup in my cavalier but, whenever i change source or turn my radio off, i get a burp out of my sub. i checked every connection in my trunk and behind the radio, everything is connected properly. screwed into amp, screw terminal in back of box with leads in box soldered... i'm at a loss

so i still cant find my camera so no pictures yet. but i did play around with tuning and such today. i have a tuning cd for subs which plays from 60hz down to 20hz and it was crazy... at 20hz my dashboard and steering wheel were shaking violently... it was that or my eyes couldn't stay still.... it was crazy!!!!!!

when i was outside my truck though, i noticed that air was escaping through the vents on the back windows which annoys me but its something i can't deal with because its body altercations which i'm in no mood to really do.

i've had this cd since 2006 when i put my first system in my cavalier and back then i was running 2 12w0s in a prefab sealed box with 300 watts powering them. that was more than enough to move my steering wheel and buzz your ears.....

this system just makes you think "why do i feel the need to take a dump?" haha 30hz will move the hair on your head while 20hz just moves the air in your lungs
