Default 97 speaker/radio issue

i have a 1997 blazer 4 door with stock everything radio and speakers. since buying it the rear door speakers never worked and now the front drivers side does not work. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows anyhting about it. if it is the radio or if it could be the speakers?

Default RE: 97 speaker/radio issue

It most likely is the speakers. I had to replace the back two speakers in my old 2000 Bravada.

Default RE: 97 speaker/radio issue

I had that issue in my '96 when i first got it. My back 2 speakers, front pass speaker and both dash speakers wouldn't work. I had already ordered a new deck so i waited till that was in. After the new deck was in everything worked! I would use a cheap speaker (or spare speaker you have laying around) and test your connections if you get sound with that speaker you know it's the speakers, if not it's most likely the deck. Unless you plan on getting new speakers anyway, then by all means GUT THE BEAST!!!
