Default after market stereo replacement info needed

hi, I have a '97 blazer that came with an aftermarket cd player.
I've looked up how to remove the coverboard or whatever, but on the 97s the 2hi and 4hi and 4low buttons prevent me from pulling the cover off, how do I change the stereo with one i just got without messing something up?

do you have it unplugged from the back? if you do just apply a little bit of pressure from the back, it should push out, only held in by clips.

Yep, just pops out. You can get a flathead screwdriver and pop it out to get to the plug if you can't get behind it enough with it still attached.
