Default Aftermarket Speakers

Hey guys, I just got a new head unit, a Kenwood KDC-X395 for my 97 Chevy Blazer 4 door...It's pretty awesome. Now I want to upgrade my speakers cause they sound like **** stock. I went on Crutchfield and they are saying 6.5 and 6.75 speakers will work. I did some research and seems most people us 6.5's for front and rear, correct? Now for the dash speakers, the stock ones are very small and seem like tweeters, but I'm not sure.

Anyhow I found these for the door speakers
Kicker DS60 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

They say there only for the front door, but don't see why they wouldn't fit the rear aswell. It says "Fits with Bracket"...I hope it works.

When I search for the rear I find these..
Kicker DS65 6-3/4" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

6.75's it says "Fits with alteration" Do i have to cut out **** or what?

Finally for the dash I found these..
Kicker DS46 4" x 6" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

4x6's They say they "Fit"

Bottom line is I'm not sure about the depth that I need and if these will work or not. If someone knows please let me know so I can order them tonight and have them by Sat.

Thanks a bunch.

kind of a waste to get really good hi wattage speakers because an aftermarket radio only puts out 50watts per channel ( each speaker ) so unless your going to run an amp for the doors i wouldn't recommend kicker lol . i have 4 o2 oxygen speakers on a 500 watt amp sounds redicilious and 2 p3 10 inch fosgate woofers on a 1000w amp .

Well ****, will these kicker speakers sound good, or just about like stock without a amp? Also will they fit properly without much of any modification? Thanks.

they will sounds a little more clear but alot less bass then stock cause the speakers needs more watt to drive it . not sure about the fitment sorry about that just take out one speaker measure the depth and any new one you buy will have the measurements on the box . your welcome

Wouldn't waste money on the 4x6's either. They are in a terrible spot and it will sound better without them. I just recently replaced all my stock speakers in mine with cheap Monoprice 6.5" speakers and the sound difference is amazing. I have an old Alpine deck in it now but will be changing that out soon.

OK cool thanks guys, now I have to decide to get the DS60's or the DS65's...I took my rear door pannel off this morning and the stock speaker is only about 6.25in so I don't see how I'm gonna fit a 6.5in speaker in there. Not quite sure what to do yet. the DS60's are 6.5in and the DS65's are 6.75in so it seems like neither would fit but who knows.

I just had to make a couple of new holes in the speaker encloser and my 6.5" speakers fit in there perfect.
