Amps
I'm in the process of puting a big system in my 99 2 door blazer and was just wondering how my amps dose my blazer need 2 run so i can see how my amps i can use towards the sound system

so you mean how many amps your truck uses to just do the day to day stuff? i'm not 100% sure but someone else on here will be able to help. i wanna say its like 60 but i'm not sure

any stereo system will most likely draw alot of amps and leave your battery straining at full volume.
if you are going with a large amp i would get a bigger alternator and upgrade all your main power wires called the big 3,
battery to ground, alternator to battery and engine to ground

Thanks guys for the info , so far i already have a 250 alt and 1 red top under the hood and 2 yellow tops in the back ,the big 3, and 4 runs of 0 gauge wire.
The reason i was asking about amp is cause im about to add a second atl where my a/c is . What i'm trying 2 figure out is am i going 2 run the blazer and system off both or run 1 for the car and other for my system.
Heres what im working with.

that is a lot of bass... not sure how much wattage you are running. I know my system runs just a little less than 1000 watts and with all my other accessories I'm probably running around 2000 watts off of the stock alt and a red top. not sure how much more my alt can handle the battery gauge goes up and down depending on what all I have on

resize the pics so its easier to see your bassy awesomeness. not trying to start anything
Do you even hear the speakers when the bass hits?

DAMN! I think MTop and I just found another friend, lol.
I'd run a lower, more stock rated alt for your vehicles stock electrical, that way the idle output would be better than a HO alts idle power. I'd run a ad244 or somthing like it for the stock electrical and keep your 250 alt for just the system. Btw what subs are you running?

I see that now. The pic of the subs didn't show up when I saw this the first time. . Darn iPhone plays tricks with pics. One minute they are white X's next minute they show them.
