I'm getting ready to build my very first set of kick panels this weekend... I have never fiberglassed before either. I have a few questions:
1. What size ring should I use for the base (for 6.5 comps)?
2. How deep do you typically go?
3. Im gonna saran wrap the existing panels to use them as a guide... this an ok method?
4. Last... any tips or tricks for fiberglassing? Or anything in general?
Thanks guys.. sorry for all the posts

Just take the panels out, cover them in foil tape. Then do 1 layer of glass and resin to make a mould of it, then build off that.

You should have cutout sizes for your speakers in the manual that came with them....
Resin will melt the saran wrap, use good ol' aluminum foil for your mold...Then just mount your rings, fleece over it, and go to town...

Fiberglassing is easy to do, one thing though is all the sanding and body work after doing it takes a while to get it to be nice!!!

How much would a reputable shop charge for kick pods? I am starting to think twice about this...
