Anyone got a cb in their blazer?

Maybe check the connections on the back of the cig lighters. Can't say I have ever had trouble with mine... I keep a radar detector and a phone charger plugged into them all the time.

Ok heres the deal i got my cb wired today, first i found i had power to the fuse for the jacks, so i took out the fuse put ing my red wire form my cb, then the black. Instead of drilling in the frame i found the parking brake bracket and drilling into it, sanded to the bear metal then screw in my connector for the wire. plug in the radio and it comes to life!! Thanks for the help!

Good deal.
Now you have the only radar detector legal in all 50 states.
That's on my list of additions as well with a whip antenna.

Cool lol i would suggest the Wilson 5000, it is one of the best mobile cb antennas, it can bend beyond half so you can still go off roading with it

Very nice. I'll look into that. My dad has an old Midaland CB. Hopefully I can get it from him. It even has he sticker from when you had to license 'em.

Ya i was a lil hesitant about drilling into the frame so i looked around and found the parking brake mount works great! do you think i should solider my connections?

if anything go to autozone and and go to the fuse secion and get a add-a circuit. its a little black thing that allows you to properly attach a wire to it and put a fuse in to separate whatever circuit you attached to and keep the fuse in the circuit. Its made by Littlefuse and looks like this:
should be like $10 or so
