yes you can lower the volume and only have the light going on and off from the keychain if the alarm is going. anyways that is a nice one it shows you which door was opened if it happens i have the same one in my BMW works great. Just make sure the person you take it to get it install do it right so all the features of the alarm work. Enjoy!!

I have the Viper 3203 Responder LE SuperCode 2-Way system w/ a Compustar remote start.
