I just bought a remote starter for the blazer. it is getting installed saturday. It is a Galaxy 2000 rs, has anyone had any experience with this unit? what did you like and dis like about it? Thanx for the info =)

Scytek makes quality units. Just make sure that they actually do a tach wire and not coltage sense. Tach is a million times more reliable.

are you intalling it yourself??? (to OP)


the cost for a remote starter to be installed is usually in the advertised price. then add 25 to 50 bucks for relays for locks, trunk release, and then 50 bucks or so for the bypass.

no i am not installing it myself. i paid 180 for everything, including the install. is that a good deal?

That is really cheap. really. What bypass are they using??? Just make sure that they hooked up a tach wire. it will be evident that they didnt if when you remote start your car, it doesnt start right away, or you can hear your starter spinning after the car starts.

im not sure which bypass but ill find out saturday and ill let you know. Yeah. My sisters boyfriend knows this guy at the shop i am going to so he cut me a deal.

got my remote start installed and it works good but when i use my auto start then put my key in to shift into gear the security light stays on. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks for the help.

that would be the bypass not dropping out. what bypass did you get and what wires did you hook up??
