Edit: well thats why you use a multimeter to find out you have power to the battery but no power to the starter solenoid. |
You really think a average person is going to do that? lol no. they are going to let the pro guy at the auto store tell them its a battery. lol

I went alternator straight to battery and left the stock wires in there as well to distribute the power. If you want to remove the stock wires then you need to go to the fuse block.
