I mean, i'm sure I could make a speaker pod, but I would like it to be behind the door panel, as I always have idiots in the back seat.

I have never liked 6.5's, 6x9's produce good sound, and they are free.

Well, since I did not get a response on if I can modify the rear doors to fit a 6x9
I will just say that the sub I got for free is a power acoustics fubar 12". and a little dual 580w amp, it runs at I think 290-300rms which is more than enough, not trying to win any competitions.
I will just pull the rear panels off and pull out the stock speakers and have a look at what is behind them to see if I could ever fit the 6x9's back there

From my experience with those doors and speaker openings, it would be more trouble than what it's worth. But then again, my experience is in a newer blazer, your door panels may be different, but I replaced all my speakers, and they stick well into the indention of the door panel (if that makes sense?). Your panels may be different though.

Thanks, I guess I should just pull the panel and see what it looks like.
Anyways, ordered some wire for the big 3, and an amp install kit. Should be here next week.

Well, big 3 is done, sub is under powered, should have my new amp Friday. Ordered a hifonics hfi1000.1 Will be running it at 2 ohms, with my DVC 4 ohm sub.
Will be quite a bit better than the crappy dual 2 ch 290w rms amp I have now.

Battery positive to alternator positive, Engine Ground to Battery Ground, Battery Ground to frame. 0awg is best, even if you just do alternator to battery there's a huge difference.
