If you don't already have that gear, you might want to explore other options. Optima's suck as well, straight garbage. Most alternators will bolt in, very minimal modifications required if bought from a reputable company. I ran a 250A mechman alt, a deka group 34 under the hood, and a deka 31 in the rear on 3K watts. Didn't seem to have any voltage issues.

many options. optima are great starting batteries. but if you're getting into big bass you want something geared towards that.
JuiceBox, XS, Kinetick, and so forth are amazing quality batteries for car audio.
my buddy has 4 Juicebox 31s in his van running 10,000 watts off his Stetsom 14K and never sees below 13.6 volt at full tilt.
Juice Box is a local Michigan Company, they are awesome quality and price.
with the setup you're talking about, you could get away with a HO alt of 200-250, a 3400 under the hood, 1-2 31s in back and be set with room to grow also.
i had a Juicebox group 45 under hood, and 2 in the back powering a Stetsom 5K right now and love having zero voltage drop. sold the subs because i needed money though, still hating myself

couldnt agree more. ever since they got bought out several years ago, their quality and reliabilty has nose dived. I had to warranty 4 in less than 2 years.
