which box would be better...
Which way is the better box, subs up port back? or subs facing back as well as port (standard style)?? i've been running subs up port back, but which is really the better way???
I should also add, although it will be a daily driver, pure spl is the goal! As if you didn't already know

Subs up port back, although I have played around with sub up port facing pass side, and it hits hard, just not sure db wise. have to go have my buddy put me on the TL again.

Sealed boxes will not produce large amounts of SPL, being that SPL stands for Sound Pressure Level, meaning, the more air you move, the better. With my daily amp putting out 3k, in a 10,3 cu ft (before port disp and driver disp) with port and sub firing up, hit 150.7 at 43 hz.Same Box, but port facing back sub up, hit 152.3 at 47 hz. WIth 10.6 cu ft (before disp) with sub facing up, port facing pass side hit 151.4

sealed boxes will produce tight cleaner, crisper sounding bass. You will not have the low end authority that you can achieve in a ported box.

So I take it, it dosent matter how/which way sealed subs fire.......or is that yet to be tested

wont really make a difference in an suv, might be a little louder facing towards the gate

Yeah, it sounds louder when the sub is facing the rear of the truck, than when it's facing up.
