RE: buring smell? but tempory
well the subs are rated at 800w max and amp only gives out about 700-750wmax so i dont think thats the problem, mabe its the stock wirining on the four speakers thats just getting to much "juice"?

RE: buring smell? but tempory
the pull on that amp couldnt be that much to burn up wiring....but anything is possible. turn it on one time and sniff around to try and find where its the strongest

RE: buring smell? but tempory
im talking about wirring to 4 dr speakers, i had a profession install them(the subs) chris crompton(probly misspelled) but the 4 dr speakers all have stock wiring

RE: buring smell? but tempory
wiring wont make any difference. Just for kicks, tell me the position on the dial for the gain on the amp.

you could be burning up your amp, i burned up a directed 750D and all you could smell was that awful match smell. turn it up loud one time and feel if your amp is getting warm, if it is, you might want to decide to get an inercooler for your amp.
