A new frame?! Wow. Well anyways, I am going on a Spring Break trip to Panama City Beach and am carrying along a cb radio. I have sketched on my Blazer to mount the cb under the ashtray/cigar lighter area. I had it mounted on the back side of the console on my Dakota Sport and I didn't like not being able to see it without turning back. So I say go for somewhere easy to see and easy to get to!

I know a lot of people, at least what I have been planning on, was to mount it in the spot where the stock auxillary tape deck was/is. I am taking my tape deck out since i put in an aftermarket HU that I don't have the tape deck hooked up to. I'll post up some pictures sometime when I finally buy the CB and hook it up (probably wont be till like May since it snows here till late April).

CB isnt really my thing. But If I had one, I would just build a small box for it, cover it in headliner material, and slap it to the roof...

Awww... if you going have a cb in the truck, may as well hook it up right, if nothing else its a good back up if something goes to crap or you get stranded somewhere and your cellphone battery dies or gets no service. But its your truck so you can do what you want.
