Anyone else ever had this problem? The stock CD player in my 1998 LS creates swirling scratches on the CD, which after a few plays makes them virtually unplayable, because they skip all over the place.

Thelens mount is broken inside the player, which ultimately allows the glass retina to make contact with the CD. The best way to fix is to replace. Had the same thing to happen to mine when my uncle owned it, but it was thankfully still under warranty at the time.
