The only comps in the dash that I've done are the 4x6 plates with the 3" midbass and 1" tweeter. And they sound real good when matched with some decent 6x9's in the back...It would be a little difficult to fit anything else in there...

What size comps are you thinking of? Eventually I will build door pods for my comps (6.5") and put mini piezo sirens in the dash locations for my alarm.

4" compontents will work. You are much better off building kicks for 6.5"s like me

I'll probablt end up going with the infinityplate 4x6's with the seperate tweet... just wondering if anyone has done like 5.25 comps. or whatever. Pods would be cool, but just from the looks of it they would get in the way (drivers side at least...)

killin me smalls! I doubt I will have time to make a bunch of them since I already have a fiberglass business on the side for a different vehicle. Plus I doubt all of you first gen owners want to cut away your carpet like I didn just to get the maximum amount of airspace.

i had a first gen and i made a custom speaker box for 5.25 where the bottom tray was and put tweeters in the a-pillars that was way better sounding than any 4x6 because they rattle the dash to much

Where's the "bottom tray" you speak of?
