Default Control Box Problem!? Lets Fix It!

Alright Us stereo guys get quite a few Control Boxes for our aftermarket items.

Well Heres a little How-to/Writeup on a GREAT spot to put Those little boxes!

This is done on a 2001 Chevy Blazer but the concept is the same on All! Here we go guys!

Vehicle: 2001 Chevrolet Xtreme Blazer

Here is our work area! The Glove Box! (It's a dirty area sorry)

First we gotta open it up! And as you can see in the image I am moving an XM Control Box today!

Lets clean Everything out! Mind the switch Its for my underbody kit.

We are looking for a small hook on the left side of the glovebox It will look like this:

Push it in like this:

Now we can drop it down and here's our working area!!!! So much room!

Now we can put the boxes needed in this area!

Once you we've put all out little control boxes back in this area simply push the glovebox back up and replace all items needed (manual, registration, etc.)

C'mon dude you just gonna let that thing hang back there on your vacuum and wiring harnesses? That's a headache waiting to happen (IMHO).

Youcan can in and bolt ur boxes to wutever. I was kinda sweating like crazy since its well HOT OUTSIDE. and i dont have time to be drilling new holes. Im just give you the general idea.

And no there is no problem. Trust me. My buddy XTuckin22's has like 3 or 4 boxes back in there along with his 80+ neon stuff and some stereo stuff......

Theres PLENTY of room in there.

Wow I really didnt think that was write up worthy or even note worthy. I thought that was a really obvious thing. You have room behind your glovebox like that in most cars. i thought everyone knew about that area, but anyways

And I wouldnt worry about it hurting the vacuum tubes or anything. i have had so much crap back there. Its a great place to hide all that crap.
