Ok I would like a to add a sub for more base to my Pioneer avic-D1. I do not know alot about installing audio so it will be done by a perfessional. The reason Im posting here is that I do not want to be ripped off. Im looking for suggestions with a budget around 200.00 -box sub and amp. Could this be done. like I said just want to add a little more base nothing crazy. I would like to mount it on the passenger side back to keep space down to a minimum.

for a custom enclosure made out of fiberglass to fit the area you took a picture, hell no it cant be done for $200. Fiberglassing is EXPENSIVE. Unless you know someone who can do it for you on the side for only the cost of materials, the youd better up your budget.
Are you expecting the $200 to cover the cost of the sub (for bass, not base lol), amp, and the enclosure?

I was thinking a shallow -mount sealed truck enclosre with a 8-10 in sub and a cheap low watt amp

Here's another one. Low wattage tho: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...0P&g=51000 it has everything in one. If you want to stay on budget, then I would say a trip to the pawn shop is in order. I got a box with 2 12s and a 740W Pioneer amp for 210.

I would chose the MTX over the basslink.

You won't find anyone that will build acustom enclosure to fit in that side areafor less than $500 and good luck getting anything of any quality if you want a sub amp and box for $200
for the other guy off topic no a cap is not needed for a sub and amps upgraded wiring for the big 3should be done though.

Avoid the bass link at all costs, you can do way better for 240, especially if you get descent used equipment.
