I thought it was. it is much better than using 6x9 boxes..

IMO, dont get an RCA splitter, it'll cut your RCA voltage in half (hence the word splitter) and you wont get the best possible sound quality from your amps. invest the money in a crossover so you have an rca input (from your head unit) and two outputs (or three depending on how in depth you want to go) for bass and mids/highs.

Probably way too late, but you have spaces in the dash for 4X6's, yes?

Yes, but I believe the majority of people go with components in the front - woofers in the doors and tweets in the stock location.

I have 6.5 Alpines and 4X6 pioneers in the front of mine and it sounds beautiful.

I have 2 4x6s 4 6 1/2" and 2 6x9's all polk. I like how the 4x6s sound in the dash better than just tweeters

Benedict, did you ever have components up front? i'll be installing my components in the next week or so and i hope they live up to my expectations.

yea I have components in the front but I have 4x6s as well. all of my speakers have crossovers even my full range
