bah, i've never had that problem. sounds weird, though. maybe try a ground loop isolator?

try a new ground for radio. as a test,run a wire outside of the car to the negative terminal on the battery. hook that up to the ground on the deck. see if that helps. if not, look at all the wiring and see if anything is bare wire and let us know what you found.

i have that problem sometimes.....i just adjust the RCA's a little bit on my amps and problem solved

my trucks am reception is horrible when the engine is running, but /w the engine off crystal clear. I have numerous shops look at it and they said perhaps a diode was leaking? interference, but why only in the am stations

they are different parts of the board. go to an auto parts store and get an antenna booster. cost you probably 20 bucks, am and fm are totally improved. def worth the 20 bucks.
