Firewall wire pass-through on driver's side
#1
So I'm just about to wrap up installing my rear view mirror with a reverse AND forward facing camera. Everything is physically installed, but now I need to pass the wires through the firewall on the driver's side so that I can run a reverse tap and the video feed for the front camera.
Before I go and try to use a hole saw bit on a 90 degree adapter where the clutch would go and use a new grommet (which to be honest seems like it would be a major PITA...), is there an easier pass-through point on the driver's side that anyone's ever used? There's a large harness that passes through the firewall there, don't know if that's an option?
I would always prefer to use an existing hole and grommet over making a new one...
Thanks!

Well after trying to figure out a way to pass the wires through the existing grommet with no success, I ended up making my own hole. Pulled the cruise servo out of the way, put a small hole saw bit on a 90 degree adapter and punched through where the clutch mechanism would go for a manual. Wasn't super easy to get to, but now I have a new grommet in place that I can pass other wires through in the future if I need to.
