Default Gettin' new speakers.

So, im about to head out and buy some new speakers for my 97' 4dr. Thing im wondering is, im only either going to buy for the front doors, or... the dash. So, realistically, which should i be buying for? Whats going to make the most difference?

Well, my budget is around $150.00, but I can get everything for about half off at the local audio shop. Anyway, I just got back and I opted for the dash speakers (4x6). I bought these ' http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFCX...2C.html?tp=100 '. They sound awesome, but there's one problem, the original equipment was just a tweeter, and now with the new components, the front dash completely OVERWHELMS the rear speakers. Yeah I CAN fade it to the rear, but then its really quiet all around. So, now I'm like what now?

Also, just for reference, I have stock speakers all around (which are in really good condition for the 11 years on em') and I have an Alpine deck (middle of the road) and a pair of 12' RF subs.

Basically, I just need more clarity at volume, but not for one area of the car to drown out the rest.

you basically want to focus the sound on the front anyway...I suggest upgrading the front door speakers as well

I just put all new door speakers in on my 00 4Dr and a new deck and she sounds great! I would upgrade the doors if you have enough money.
