I just noticed something on those, and im not sure if its just because maybeDale is different though i dont think he is, but shouldnt the tach only read up to 6000 rpm not 7000?

Odd, mine actually redlines at 5100... all the blazers I've seen have gauges that go to 6k with 3k top dead center.
