Default Greatest Battery Ever

Well evidently the battery in my blazer must be really good. One of my buddies was sitting in it last night listening to the radio around 6:00pm. Well when he cut the ignition off he evidently turned it too far and it went to auxillary and left the radio on but it was turned down low. Well I came out of the house this morning at 10:00am and the radio was still on and it cranked right up. So for 16 hours the radio was on with the amp and the sub. It really shocked me that it was fine for that long. Just figured id share.

Thats honestly really impressive. I really need to replace mine soon because it doesn't like starting right away after sitting all night

So what kind of battery is it? Cranking amps? CCA? Help us out a little here.

Yes, may we know the brand name of said battery?

That's actually pretty good. I need to upgrade my electrical. Got a digital voltage meter that plugs into the cigerette lighter. Battery shows between 11-12 volts and sitting in the Burger King drive thru with the radio on like 5 and the lights on cause it was raining it was dipping down into the 12 volt range Turned the lights off and raised into the 13 volt range. I want one of the AD-244 240 amp alts I found the other day. 150 amps at idle.

So what superman battery do you have bud?... lol

That is very surprising the battery lasted that long. Was it almost dead when you started the car?

If it's manufacture by Johnson Controls you know you have a good battery.

My vote for Optima here. I had a basic one in my '06 Corolla that came from Toyota, but by year three it was getting a little long in the tooth and taking longer to crank the engine than I liked (normal bc the Corolla's are somewhat high compression), and the Red Top cured that right away.
