h/u trouble really pissing me off

i cant seem to hook up my h/u right. idk what is goin on. i have a eclipse 3000 and there was already a wiring harnes in there when i got my 85 blazer. it turns on plays but when the door opens it turns off. it also wont rember any thing like stations or settings. and what is the yellow wire alway to the right? back up to batt?

'yellow wire is your memory thats why it wont remember stations. Your wiring harnes should have another yellow wire, just hook the 2 together.

yea thats what i thought u know red to red yellow to yellow but when its hooked up that way my cd player it just blinks. if i do yellow to red and red to yellow it turns on and plays.

bump still not fixed rlly gay...and lattly if my wiring harness is in cetian postion my cd player turns off and my dome lights turn on????

sounds like it is wired all wrong. Take it to a professional.

Screw the stupid harness thats the problem. ITs a 85 man these thigns are so simple to hard wire direct.
Your deck only has a few useful wires you need to worry about hooking up.
Yellow: 12 volt constant
Red: 12 volt switched (acc or ign wire)
Black: ground
blue/white: remote for external amplifier
Then speaker wires
