Default hatchback subwoofer enclosure

I have recently picked up 2 TXXAP15RD subwoofers and was just wondering what kind of box to build for spl setup. I have heard that subs back port up is the best but Im not sure, I was hoping HillbillyinOhio coudl help me out. Its going in my other car Its a 96 ford probe gt, each box will be 4.0 cubic feet , thats what it calls for in the specs for these subs for max recomended vented enclosure. Im going to be running these subs at 1 ohm and Im going to be running a quantum 1800d. I want it to be spl but at the same time Its my daily driver right now.
Just hoping I could get some help

Subs up port back will be nice in a Probe. What are the dimensions of the area you have to work with in the probe??

Default RE: hatchback subwoofer enclosure

from wheel well to wheel well I have 35"
From the back seat to the trunk wall I have 34"
From floor to highest possible point without hitting the hatch when it closes is 17"
Each sub calls for a max vented enclosure of 4.0cuFt
Now when I go to calculate the box do I try and include the total internal volume including the port or is it 4.0 before the port and then just add the port after that?
This always confuses me.
Im debating on selling these and running two 12 kicker l7's.
What is your personal choice?
Kicker or Audiopipe? I heard one of these in a buddys car but I didnt really have a chance to play with it on different frequencys, he only played on song but hell it was loud and sounded pretty good
