Have know clue where to start at!!!!!
Hey, I have a '91 4 door blazer, and I'm trying to get the stereo system back to par. I want to replace all of the factory speakers in it, because they sound blown, and worn down. I would also like to get a lil " umph " in it also. What all do I need to get replace the factory speakers, and how do I go about adding more speakers to the car, including what stuff I need to get for that too?
Ok first thing's first: in order to get "umph" your best bet is a new head unit. next step is an amp to push those new speakers.
the gains from a new HU (even a $90 one) and a small amp (300/2) will be night and day from you current set up.
as for adding new speakers you can go from bargain basement (cut pannels and put speakers in) to cheap (loaded stand alone enclosures) the high speed ( loaded custom molded panels). It all depends on $$$ and what you are going for.
Also a nice 10" or 12" running solo will round out your sound nicely with out making it a giant beat box. unless that is what you want
