Default Help with reprograming

Well friday night I got a lil tipsy and decided to lose my keys with 3! of my remotes on it.[&o]

now i do have a single replacement for them all, but only the remote for my alarm works.....considering its the newest addition.

For the factory GM key fob I saw swarts how to/walk thru which I have yet to try......but my biggest problem is my dei starter/keyless entry. the remote looks identical to this, but this one claims to be a viper. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KEYLE...spagenameZWD1V

does anyone have any idea how I can go about reprogramming that one? would be a huge help, i loved my remote start!

also any tips or tricks on the factory GM one would be helpful too.

Default RE: Help with reprograming

Viper is just one of DEI's brand names. If I remember correctly without digging up one of my old manuals, and without knowing exactly which model your alarm/starter is, to program that remote you:
[ol][*]find the programming button for the alarm/starter.[*]Once you know where it is, you turn on the ignition and press the button 8 times, holding it in on the 8th. Wait for a second and your LED should flash 8 times and the siren will chirp 8 times. If it only flashes and chirps 7 times release the button and then press and hold it again to advance the programming menu to the 8th option.[*]Once your LED has flashed 8 times, or the siren chirps 8 times press the Lock button on the remote. The alarm/starter should respond by chirping once.[*]If this happens you're set. Release the button and turn off the ignition, then test all of the functions.
[/ol]Hopefully all goes well. If this doesn't work, post again and either I'll dig out a manual, or someone else will post. HillbillyinOhio is someone else who would know the programming sequence. Good luck.
