Default Hey guys quick question.

Im trying to buy and amplifier and 2 kicker subwoofers cvrs I think.. This guys at work is selling.me the hifonics amplifier 4 channel 1200w nd the subwoofer kickers is this a good deal or will it sound good or do I gotta buy a class d amp?

Here's the only issue I see that could be a problem. You'll want to be running the 4 channels of that amp in bridged mode, which has a minimum impedance of 4 ohms. Those kickers may be dual voice coils, which are more commonly dual 4 ohms. If they are the dual 2 ohms, I think your in good shape. You'd just need to make sure you have the low-pass filters set up so the subs aren't trying to play the highs.

How much is he asking, if you don't mind me asking? Because you might be able to get a better system for less depending.

$100 seems like a good deal to me. Just make sure the impedance's match up and you should be good.

Side note: I've never used those subs or that amp so I couldn't tell you about how long they'll last or anything like that. I'm just going off numbers here.

I have had my hifonics mono amp for over a year and love it, my friend has the kicker subs, they are decent.

what Thog said, find out specs before you buy, on everything, rms for subs and amp, ohms for subs and amp ect.
