2 of the old model type R 12's, I have 2 new 12" R'swaiting in my closet

but if you want to be able to hear your speakers, they need more power as well.

also you dont need to drive your subs 100% all the time. thats like buying a ferrari and driving it 200mph all the time.

If you have a decent aftermarket deck your sound will be fairly customizable.

Was considering buying 2 of those.
If I do, what's the best type of amp with max power to run with 2 of them?

Look for an amp that does anywhere from 1000-1500w "RMS"....I would get the dual 4ohm subs. That way your final ohm load will be 1 or 4 ohm. Its much easier to find an amp that does power at those impedances. Unless you find a good deal on like a kicker amp. In which case get the dual 2ohm subs for a 2ohm final load...

From what I've seen, most 1000W and higher amps these days are 1ohm stable....

except for kicker, which is why cloak said to get dual 2ohm if you can find a cheap kicker.

all of theirmono ampsare rated at 2ohms... even the 10kW wx10000.1 WARHORSE is rated at 2ohms

I was looking at that one because it has a good price, but not sure if it's good with the 2 new model Type R's.

Here is an option. The warranty is usually transferable, and Jacob is a good guy. 1500 watts for just over $300.
