Installed Cd player perfect, but it will not turn on
Hello, I'm new to the forum and I hope to stay here for a while.
I'm having CD player issues.
I have a 94 s10 blazer.
12" Kicker Comp --and a-- 12" Baja.
1000w amp -- I think its an Xplode.
Big sub box.
Pioneer DEH-1100MP -- Cd Player.
I unhooked the neg wire to the battery.
I hooked up my amp and 2, 12"s, did everything perfect with this.
then
I installed the Cd player with the adapter I found in my truck, the adapter had all the right color codes, I even checked online and they all matched up perfectly. I plugged up my Cd player, then I plug up the neg wire. I get exited as I turn the key, and .
I checked the fuses and they were all ok.
Everything was plugged up right.
Troubleshooting steps?
Please help me .

this happend to me also. in the dash there is ur wire harness that ur stereo wires all connect to then two plugs that plug into that wire harness. one can get disconnectd really easily and i kno u said u check everything but try that just to be sure. it took me a while to dven think ok lookin at that but just 2 secs to fix it.

x2 on the harness... Had a similar problem with my install, it was getting power but wouldn't turn on, I could open it to pull the face off but that was it.

Harness is a good place to start. And you did hit the power button on the radio, right?

Sorry for the late reply. Well I fixed my radio. I called up my friend who also has a blazer and he told me the same thing happend to his cd player. He hooked all his wires up right too, but it wouldn't work. SO heres the fix, There is a bolt on the firewall that is HOT. I connected a wire to this, ran it through my truck then cut it and connected a 25w fuse, it works perfectly now. Ill take pictures of my setup later. One of my subs stopped working also, but it was the **** baja, not the kicker.
